![]() | Assoc. Prof. Shaowei WangGuangzhou University Wang Shaowei is an associate professor and master’s supervisor at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Guangzhou University. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Software and Theory from the School of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2019. In December 2020, he joined the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Guangzhou University and was selected into the university’s “Hundred Talents Program.” His main research areas include data privacy protection, federated learning, and machine learning, and he is engaged in teaching and research in these fields. Since 2015, he has published over 20 papers, including 3 papers at CCF‑recommended A‑class conferences and 2 papers in A‑class journals. In terms of academic achievements, his research was accepted by the top international conference in artificial intelligence, IJCAI 2021. The paper proposed a novel mechanism for privacy‑preserving gradient estimation in federated learning, improving the efficiency of machine learning model training. Additionally, his recent work, “Optimal Locally Private Data Stream Analytics,” was accepted by the prestigious conference in computer networking and security, IEEE INFOCOM 2024.
